Lodge
Crocodile Bay lodge is located on the Golfo Dulce right by the small rustic and friendly village of Puerto Jimenez on the Osa Peninsula in Southwest Costa Rica. The “Osa” has been described by National Geographic as, “The most ecologically intense place on earth.”The lodge structures are strategically located throughout the landscaped property with the main building housing the restaurant, bar and reception area. There’s also a gift shop where one can purchase souvenirs or for use at another time, as well and locally made gifts of all kinds. The pool and jacuzzi were designed utilizing our tropical surroundings including waterfalls and sounds of the nearby jungle. The lodge is staffed by friendly, English-speaking and experienced personnel guaranteed to make your stay an exciting and unforgettable one. After a day on the water, or returning from a thrilling adventure tour, enjoy your favorite cocktail or beverage at our open bar, take a relaxing swim dine in our elegant air-conditioned restaurant or walk through our tropical gardens. Watch and listen for the sounds of local wildlife. At any given time you may see one of several species of monkeys or other mammals, lizards and other reptiles, or perhaps a parrot. Guests frequently encounter what is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful birds in the world, the scarlet macaw.

Your first and last nights lodging at a first class hotel in San Jose Ground transfers between airport and hotels Round trip air transportation between San Jose and The lodge.

Fishing
Thirty-minute run to the blue water to catch blue, black and striped Marlin and sailfish, wahoo, dolphin fish, and yellowfin tuna It is common to raise 10 to 15 sailfish a day and on spectacular days over 50. CBL also has flats boats. You can silently maneuver through the many rivers and the mangrove estuaries. Fly cast, spin cast or troll through the nooks and crannies of this beautiful tropical back country paradise. Also experience the heart-stopping thrill as a big snook explodes on your bait or a snapper, barracuda, corvina and other sport fish test your light tackle fishing skills.
Within a short run from Crocodile Bay Lodge, fish the volcanic shoreline of the bay and coastline for exciting roosterfish (up to 80 lbs), monster cubera snapper, jack crevalle, blue fin trevally, amberjacks,grouper, barracuda, pompano and sierra mackerel.

Marlin, sailfish, dorado, tuna, wahoo, roosterfish, snapper, goliath and broomtail grouper

Other species caught inshore include but are not limited to barracuda, several types of jacks, snook, bonito, mackerel, african pompano,bluefin trevally, rainbow runners, shark, etc.

Boats
Whether you’re fishing inshore in our Flats boats, or our 21’ Center Consoles, it is excellent all year long. Fishing offshore in our Rambo 27’s or Strike 33’s is also available 12 months a year.

Other Activities
Kayaking, mountain biking, bird watching, beach exploration, rainforest tours, waterfall rappelling, snorkeling, horseback riding and surfing.

Meals
Top of the line daily menu Chef Pablo Montano provides our guests with the finest blend of local and American cuisine. Each day Pablo will prepare a variety of dishes including fresh fish, chicken, or beef, with the guests’ only dilemma being which to decide on.
